To the editor:
As the organizer of the 5th annual Otis Mountain Music Festival, I am proud to report yet another successful event this year. Around 1,000 people made there way to our little ski hill in Elizabethtown to listen to what was widely regarded as some of the best music to be heard anywhere. As one can imagine, the logistics of putting on such an event are huge, and simply impossible without a team of dedicated folks.
I would like to thank the core group of managing volunteers that spent many days in preparation and three really long days at the site during the festival. Allison Whalen, Tom Kirsch, Kevin Joyce, Brad Caldwell, Craig Lanoye, and Caroline Rubino worked tirelessly to make this a success. Of equal importance, but too numerous to mention specifically, are the dozens of volunteers that helped with the setup and operations throughout the event.
Our sponsors help make the event happen on a financial level as well, and I would encourage all who are interested, to go to our website and support them as well as they support us. Thanks also go out to those that attended the festival and bring the heart and soul to it. Every year the nationally-known bands are amazed at what a great audience, community, and setting we have. And every year, I stand back in amazement myself. Thanks to everyone for reminding us how good we have it here and for making the festival happen.
