Here we are, another week down, and today was the day we were supposed to be at Disney World with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson. However, our 5-year-old grandson ended up with viral walking pneumonia and they never made it to the sunny south. Was I disappointed? You bet I was, but it just wasnt meant to be. Our son-in-law drove down so he has been here since Friday, but is going back tomorrow. Maybe next year. There is a Hampton Inn coming to State Route 3. While we may not have the conference center that is needed in the city, we are gaining more motel rooms, which must be a good thing. Cape Air is now making three non-stop daily flights from Plattsburgh International Airport to Boston. It is certainly nice to feel connected again. I did have a response to my query about the advisability of combining North Country Community College and Clinton Community College. Whilst I shall mention no names, this person is in a position to have an informed opinion and he believes the time is right at this point to at least open up a dialogue in that arena; he does admit there are a lot of issues to be worked through, however.
