The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is excited to announce the return of Missoula Children’s Theatre free summer residency program and workshops.
On Monday, Aug. 15, at 9:30 a.m., open auditions will be held for “The Little Mermaid.”
The Arts Center invites all children that have completed kindergarten up to grade 12 to audition. Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) will cast 50 to 60 area students to join in an intensive week-long production process. Auditions will start promptly at 9:30 a.m., doors will open at 9 a.m. Due to the nature of these auditions, children arriving late will not be able to participate. The auditions will last approximately two hours, and children must be present for the full audition process. Casting and rehearsals will begin immediately.
Among the roles to be cast are: The Little Mermaid, Celia, her three sisters, Delia, Amelia, and Ophelia, Gil, the Merboy next door; the Royal family including, the Prince, the King and the Queen; the poetic Town Criers, dynamic Scouts, snoopy Seasiders, and galloping Seahorses.
