A principal at the Malone BOCES will return to court next month to face charges of drunken driving.
The Plattsburgh Press Republican reports that 56-year-old Elizabeth B. Sageman of Saranac Lake - a principal for Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES - was in North Elba town court this week, where her case was adjourned until Feb. 14.
Ray Brook-based state police arrested Sageman in November and charged her with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a breathalyzer test. The arrest occurred in the town of North Elba.
BOCES District Superintendent Stephen Shafer told the Press Republican he could not comment on Sageman's job status.
"Any action we would take would be a personnel matter," he told the newspaper, adding that she is still on the job.
