School ballfield vote March 11
Residents of the Bolton Central School District will vote on Tuesday, March 11 whether or not to purchase approximately 17 acres of land off North Bolton Road for the purpose of establishing new school ballfields. The property is currently owned by the Harris family. Bolton Classic Ice Fishing Derby
The Bolton Landing Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Glens Falls is sponsoring the second annual Bolton Classic Ice Fishing Derby on Lake George in Veterans Park today from 5:30 a.m. to dusk. Awards will be dispensed in four categories of fish: lake trout, landlocked salmon, northern pike and perch. Three prizes will awarded in each category. Money raised will benefit the Bolton Landing Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of Glens Falls NY. For further information and entry forms, call Karl Klein at 743-1116. The entry fees are $20 for adults and $5 per child. Recreation Center expands hours
Starting in March, the Happenings Recreation Center in the Town Hall will change and expand their hours. The Center will be open five days a week from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and one Saturday a month from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Recreation Commission is looking for an additional person to work part-time in the Recreation Center. The Family of Ralph Brown has expressed appreciation and thanks to the Bolton community for the overwhelming help and support during his recent hospital stay and homebound recuperation. Although he still has a road ahead of him, he is making good progress. Thank you to all who responded so lovingly and quickly in his time of need.
