The organizers of the Community Store in Saranac Lake announced this week the hiring of two key management positions.
Craig D. Waters will serve as the store's general manager, while Stephanie DeJoseph was hired as assistant manager.
The Community Store reached its capital goal in March and plans to open its doors for business later this summer.
The store will be located on Main Street in downtown Saranac Lake at the site of the former Corvo's restaurant.
As general manager, Waters will be responsible for the store's overall operations. He'll report directly to the board of directors.
Waters has 20 years of experience as a buyer for major retailers such as the May Company, Bradlees Department Stores, and Staples.
Assistant Manager Stephanie DeJoseph has a background in interior design and has retail experience as manager of a corporate Hallmark store in North Carolina.
Both appointments take effect May 1.
