MINERVA - Residents of the Town of Minerva have no doubt recognized the absence of the Winter Carnival during the colder months. It has been several years since the popular annual carnival has been active in providing outdoor and indoor winter events for residents of Minerva.
Local residents feel that it is time to get the carnival moving again. It is a special part of the community and has been missed.
To get it off the ground, there will be a planning meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The meeting will take place at 6 pm at the Minerva Town Hall.
The purpose of the Winter Carnival is to not only sponsor a day of activities for people of any age, but to encourage residents of Minerva to venture from their homes and enjoy the beauty and fun that wintertime in the Adirondacks can provide.
All interested individuals and organizations are thoroughly invited to attend the planning meeting. Come with ideas for activities, refreshments and bring lots of enthusiasm.
