BRISTOL Patricia Bunal, a resident of Monkton, was honored recently by the Vermont Health Care Association for outstanding work at the Living Well Residential Care Home located on Maple Street in the village of Bristol. As a licensed nursing assistant and medication manager for the 15-bed facility, Bunal has been providing long-term care to her clients for 15 years. All our residents love Trisha because she gives to them from her heart, said Dee Deluca, administrator for Living Well Residential Care Home. Its caregivers like her that make our home such a special place. Loving care is just one of the many attributes recognized at Living Well. The homes residents enjoy meals prepared with organic food, regular massage and music therapy and frequent visits from family and members of the community. The award-winning treatment model has been garnering some attention of its own from both state and national interests, because of its success. Success in this business is measured by the relative health and comfort of our residents and by the peace of mind we can give their family members, said DeLuca. It takes dedicated employees like Trisha to make our model work. It is Bunals compassionate commitment to her work that inspired her coworkers to nominate her for the LNA of the Year Award. She was chosen from several thousand LNAs working in residential care facilities all over the state. The Vermont Health Care Association is the trade association which represents more than 90 licensed nursing home, residential care homes and assisted living facilities throughout Vermont. It has been setting the standard for quality long term care for elderly citizens since 1955.
