Four volunteers from RSVPs, Retired Senior Volunteers Program, visited the Willsboro Central School Library on June 6, thanks to Stewart Grant.
The volunteers brought books to read the Prekindergarten through second grade students and a book for every student.
Jane Terlouw, a RSVP volunteer in the school library, organized the event and four RSVP members: Janet Denney, Bonnie Monoski, Cathy L. Phillips, and Jane TerLouw read to the students.
The students were divided into small groups of three to five throughout the morning. After listening to a story, each student was presented with their own copy of the book with a personalized bookplate inside. Each classroom also received a copy of the book. Extra copies were donated to the school’s summer reading program.
