PLATTSBURGH-The Master Gardener volunteers of Cornell Cooperative Extension will be holding their annual Spring Garden Day event Saturday, April 9, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Stafford Center at Clinton Community College, 136 ClintonPoint Dr.
This year's focus is on practical tips for growing vegetables and perennials as well as grapes, pruning shrubs and the health benefits of gardening. Participants choose from 12 different topics in four one-hour sessions taught by Amy Ivy, Jolene Wallace and the Master Gardener Volunteers.
The earlybird special rate is $40 by Tuesday, March 15, and $45 after. Price includes refreshments, lunch and a resource binder with materials from all the sessions. Class sizes are limited.
