Acclaimed Vermont songwriter Patrick Fitzsimmons is having a C.D. release concert for his latest C.D., So Beautiful So Blue, Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury. He will be presenting the songs from his new release as well as songs from his four previous C.D. releases. Fitzsimmons will be accompanied by a full band, including cello, violin, percussion, bass, electric guitar and keyboards. While in the middle of recording this C.D. last autumn, Fitzsimmons was diagnosed with cancer and spent the winter and spring undergoing chemotherapy. Now in remission, he has taken the summer to finish up the C.D. and return to performing live. Originally from New Jersey, Fitzsimmons moved to the Green Mountains nearly ten years ago after the breakup of his former band, New York-based, RCA recording artists From Good Homes. He now resides in Bristol. He has developed a large and loyal audience in Vermont and throughout the northeast, where he travels extensively. WGDR's Mark Michaelis called him one of Vermonts most gifted singer/songwriters and Robert Resnik of WVPR's All the Traditions declared, This man can really sing! The songs are carefully crafted and range from pop/folk anthems to masterful love ballads. The show starts at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. The Town Hall Theater is located at 68 S. Pleasant St. in Middlebury. Tickets are $15 and available at the Town Hall Theater box office, by phone at 802-382-9222 or online at www.townhalltheater.org.
