MIDDLEBURY - Did you know that Two Brothers Tavern sells more Otter Creek products than any other place on earth? As a thank you to our valued customers, Two Brothers Tavern and Otter Creek Brewing are teaming up to host our 1st Annual Customer Appreciation Weekend on April 17 & 18, 2009! There will be numerous Otter Creek draughts on special at Two Brothers Tavern, rare cask ales available, Otter Creek-inspired food specials, live music, fun giveaways and exciting raffles - all to benefit the Addison County Open Door Clinic!
The Open Door Clinic is a free clinic sponsored by the Community Health Services of Addison County, a local non-profit agency dedicated to insuring access to healthcare for all persons, regardless of financial circumstances. Care at the Open Door Clinic is provided by a rotating staff of volunteer healthcare providers, nurses, and community members who generously donate their time because they believe everyone is entitled to healthcare.
Of the event, Holmes Jacobs, co-owner of Two Brothers Tavern, said, "I am thrilled that Two Brothers Tavern and Otter Creek Brewing are finally partnering to thank the customers who have helped make us who we are. Better yet, I'm proud that we are able to do so in a way that will benefit the Open Door Clinic.
"We encourage the public to come out and support this noble organization which helps so many people in Addison County receive the health care they deserve, but couldn't otherwise afford. By bringing together two established Addison County businesses we hope to heighten the public's awareness of the services provided by the Open Door Clinic as well as use the weekend as an opportunity to bring people together in a greater celebration of community."
Max Oswald of Otter Creek Brewing concurred, "We appreciate the partnership between Otter Creek Brewing and Two Brothers that has provided so many good times for residents of our community. We especially enjoy working together to provide a fun event that benefits one of our areas most effective and dedicated organizations."
The Director of the Open Door Clinic, Ken Dabbs added, "Addison County is so fortunate to have businesses like Two Brothers Tavern and Otter Creek Brewery that show a genuine interest in the health and welfare of our community."
Live entertainment for the weekend includes local bluegrass band The Goshen Ramblers at 10 p.m. on Friday night in the lounge; a free happy hour show in the tavern with the Celtic trio Trinity on Saturday afternoon at 4pm; and the rockin' Burlington band Dan Parks & The Blame at 10 p.m. on Saturday night in the lounge.
In addition to the raffle of fantastic golf gear generously donated by Otter Creek Brewing, part of the proceeds from the sale of commemorative glassware and t-shirts will also go to benefit the Open Door Clinic. Raffle tickets are $2.00 each or $5.00 for three, and the winner will be drawn at 11:00pm during the Dan Parks and the Blame show.
The festivities begin at Two Brothers Tavern on Friday, April 17 at 11:30am and continue through Saturday the 18th.
