GLENS FALLS Internationally-noted artist Ann Woodward, a part-year resident of Warrensburg, is among five artists featured in the XS Through XL exhibition beginning Fri. Aug. 15 at the Lapham Gallery. Presented by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, the exhibition presents a wide range of size in the artworks as small as 2x3 by national award-winning miniature artist Judith Slawter to large installations up to 10 square feet by Dorothea Osborn. To run through Sept. 20, this exhibit also runs the range between representational to expressionistic art. Other artwork to be exhibited includes garage-door paintings by mixed-media artist Elizabeth Parsons, photographs of western horse drives by equine photographer Carien Schippers, and Woodwards mixed media collage work inspired by her artists residency in Venice last year. The public is invited to meet Woodward and the other artists at the opening reception o Fri. Aug. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. as well as enjoy light refreshments, musical entertainment, and wine-tasting. Also, during Glens Falls monthly Art Walk on Thursday, August 21, from 5 to 7.pm., Lapham Gallery hosts Slawter, who is to conduct a demonstration and program on miniature painting.
