Firefighters from several Addison County towns responded to a large barn fire at the Gosliga Dairy Farm in Addison Feb. 6
The accidental fire broke out around 3 a.m. The farm is located near the intersection of Routes 17 and 22A.
According to an eyewitness, the fire began in a hay barn with more than 110 calves trapped inside. It took nearly ten hours to get the fire completely under control. No human was injured in the blaze.
"I was at the scene of the Gosliga barn burning in flames and thought you could put it in your paper," said Erin Gosliga, Bert Gosliga's daughter.
"Ninety-two calves were saved to be exact, out of a possible 110 or more. The whole barn was bulldozed shortly after the fire," according to Erin Gosliga.
