2 year old. Spayed Female. Labrador Retriever/Bulldog mix.
I am a sweet and somewhat timid dog who has been through a lot of changes recently so I am in need of reassurance and stability. I know how to sit and I have nice leash manners. I was brought in with a small dog and while the people who brought me here said that I was not always nice to him the staff here says I am happy to see him and think I should be able to live with another dog if we are properly introduced and supervised.
4 year old. Neutered Male. Jack Russell Terrier.
I am a cheerful guy who enjoys activity and being in the center of things. Even though I am a little fellow, I have a big spirit and I am independent. Having knowledge of the terrier nature will help you understand what makes me tick... terriers are strong minded and tenacious. The staff has observed that I seem to be ok around other animals and could probably adapt to a multi-pet home with proper supervision and introductions-dog-savvy cats recommended.
8 year old. Female. Quaker Parakeet
My friend, Abby Lorenzo, and I are a pair of Quaker Parakeets. We will probably live another 25 years so our adoptive family needs to make sure they are ready for a long term commitment. We like to sing and talk and we can be loud at times but we have a lot to say so we hope you will listen.
6 year old. Neutered Male. Domestic Short Hair Gray and White.
I am a handsome fella and oh so loveable. I am here because my owner is off to college and no kitties are allowed in the dorms. I am declawed in the front and have lived with other cats and dogs. I can be a little shy at first but stay around and I am sure you will be pleased with my personality.

Sidney is a sweet male tiger cat we think may be crossed with a Bengal as his markings are so striking. He is very friendly toward people and gets along well with everyone in the Community Cat Room. He is about 2 years old and was brought to us as his owner could no longer care for him. Currently at the Shelter are 31 cats, 9 kittens, 4 dogs and 1 dwarf rabbit - all seeking forever homes. Call the Shelter at 885-3997 or visit noon-4:30.
We have begun a new program to unite life experienced cats with life experienced people. Our Senior to Senior Program offers "mature" cats to people 60 or over at no adoption fee. These wonderful cats still have years of loving companionship to offer yet are difficult to find homes for. Who better to understand the joys of maturity than seniors and each can bring loving friendship to the other.
