INDIAN LAKE With the colors of autumn starting to show and a seasonal chill in the air, the annual Indian Lake and Adirondack Museum Antiques Weekend was off to a great start. Through a unique partnership, the weekend show officially opened Friday, Sept. 19 with a preview benefit on the Adirondack Museum property. Antique lovers enjoyed an exclusive first look while enjoying hors doevres and the early season scenery. On Saturday and Sunday, a shuttle bus traveled the 11 miles between Indian Lake and the museum show to help alleviate some of the weekend traffic on Route 28. Antique dealers, craftspeople, and artists displayed a wide selection of offerings in both venues, with something for everyone to enjoy. Were having a great weekend but Saturday was incredibly busy, said Vonnie Liddle, Indian Lakes activities director. Overall were very happy with the turnout. Despite lingering cloud coverage and a slight chance of rain on Sunday, the highway leading into Indian Lake was bustling with activity. A line of passing antique Model T Fords brought a smile to Liddles face as they honked their distinctive horns. No matter what its a fun weekend, she added. Everybody has a good time.
