SHELBURNE - In response to the current economic climate, the Shelburne Art Center Board of Directors has decided to consolidate services at one location. The gallery at 54 Falls Rd. will close after Christmas. Administrative offices and the visual arts studio will move back to 64 Harbor Rd.
The move is being undertaken in an effort to strengthen the organization and maintain its viability as a longstanding arts education resource in our community. The board of directors feels this move is the best and wisest use of the funds the community has so generously given to support our educational mission.
In the future, center owners hope to offer exhibitions and income opportunities for artists-in-residence, instructors and students in a small gallery to be created in a section of the studios on Harbor Road.
