SCHROONLAKE-The newly-organized Art Co-op of Schroon Lake has announced its debut exhibit on Saturday, June 25, at the Towne Store.
"Art in the Attic" will be shown 4 to 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
The Art Co-op of Schroon Lake is made up of an array of local artists. The group welcomes and encourages interested artists to contact Julie Sawyers at email@example.com or 532-9291 for additional information.
"Our overall goal is to make the visual arts a more profitable, active and appreciated part of the Schroon Lake region. Anyone who is interested in helping us reach our goals is welcome to join our group," Sawyers said.
"I am excited to offer a platform for local artists to exhibit a wide array of talents, a place for interaction, this group has some exciting plans," said Patti Mehm, owner of The Towne Store.
The Art Co-op is also supporting the new event Art in the Park on July 9 1 to 5 p.m., sponsored by the Schroon Lake Arts Council. This event will be held in conjunction with the arts council's first concert of the season, Modern Grass Quintet, 5 - 7 p.m.
Exhibition space is free to all artists and craftsman who would like to participate in the event, which will be outside, lakeside near the bandstand. Contact Sawyers for information.
