NORTH CREEK On Feb. 19,the Baby's Place Playgroup celebrates three years of fun with area families. The Playgroup offersinfants and toddlers (newborn through age 3),andtheir caregivers,timetogether in awelcoming spacefor relaxing and socializing through play. Adults can play and participate with their children as well as connect andchatwiththe other adults. Kids have fun "cooking"in thepretend kitchen,smooshing play-dough,creating "art"and using push-pull and ride-on toys.There isanindoor slideand a quietbook corner, too. Aftera busy playtime, adults and children alike gather togetherready forsomemusic and movement, and maybe a story beforesinging a "Good-Bye" song to one another. Thewarm andfriendly staff and playgroup volunteers havemany collective years of experience in the human services, early childhood education and medical fields. This great, no-cost opportunity forarea familiesmeets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month during the school year from 10-11:30 a.m., at the North Country Outreach Center located between Wevertown and North Creek on Route 28. The playgroup isopen tothosewithchildren up to 4 years old and is free of charge.The upcoming playgroup dates are Feb. 5 and 19; and March and 18.
