Memorial Day seemed to be very hazy and had the smell of a very early barbecue. We found out later that the haze was coming from a bad forest fire in Canada.
Fred and Ruth Allen took Earl Allen out on Monday evening to Red Lobster for Earl's birthday. They had a nice evening.
There are lots of bikes in the area for Americade. Even though is started out with some heavy rains, we hope they will have a good week.
Many young people went to Lake Pleasant to help clean at Camp-of-the-Woods to get ready for the summer. They enjoyed working hard and had some great food.
There was a chocolate banquet at the Wesleyan Church in Bakers Mills on Saturday. Many ladies gathered for chocolates, food, fun, prizes and a celebration of life. The guest speaker was Janet Trombley. She told the amazing story about a 40 year search for her son.
The second of the Mayberry RFD bible study series was held Sunday evening at the Sodom Community Church.
