ARGYLE - Scots' standout player Bobby Doepper scored an early penalty kick as Argyle beat Bolton 2-0 Sept. 24, in an Adirondack League matchup.
In the competitive game, Bolton's Mitchell Jordon stopped seven shots in goal.
Bolton's offense took 10 shots on goal to Argyle's nine. Bolton also led in corner kicks 2-1.
Lake George 11,
LAKE GEORGE - In a matchup between a legendary soccer program and a relatively new one, Lake George steamrolled Warrensburg Sept. 24, with an 11-1 offensive onslaught.
Warrior goalie Ryan Moll and defensive player Gavin Garry each tallied their first varsity goals in the matchup.
Demonstrating their team's depth, seven other Lake George players scored, including Mason Vruegde with three goals and two assists. Peter Valenti assisted three.
Highlights of the game for the Burghers included standout Ryan Belden driving in a long free kick, and goalie Aaron Seeley working up a sweat in tallying eight saves.
For a large part of the game, the soccer ball was kicked around in Warrensburg territory. The Warriors had 34 shots on goal while Warrensburg had five.
Warrensburg drops to 1-5, with the win, and Lake George improved to 4-0-1 in the Adirondack League and 5-1-1 overall.

LAKE GEORGE - The Lake George defense was in the spotlight for the early-season soccer showdown Sept. 22, between the two top teams in the Adirondack League, which ended up in a tie.
Warrior goalie Ryan Moll made 15 saves to retain a 0-0 tie which extended into double overtime. During the matchup, Hartford outshot the Warriors 22-11.
Both teams remain unbeaten in league play.
The Lake George defensive roster, including Jackson Donnelly, Sasha Goodman, Gavin Garry and Brian Stoya were busy, dealing successfully with the relentless Hartford drives.
Fort Ann 4,
North Warren 1
FORT ANN - In a battle of the unbeatens, Fort Ann team overcame North Warren Sept. 22, tallying three of their four goals in the second half. Joe Aiken, assisted by Thom Pereau, scored North Warren's goal. The efficient goal-tending by Warrior Aaron Seeley kept the score competitive. He recorded 16 saves, as Fort Ann outshot North Warren 27-8.
With the loss, North Warren's record slides to 3-1-1 and Fort Ann's is boosted to 6-0 overall.
ARGYLE - Solid play by the Tanagers led to a 3-2 defeat of Warrensburg Sept. 22. Burgher goalie Aaron Seeley showed his considerable skills in his 12 saves for the Burghers.
BOLTON LANDING - Bolton Central's male soccer team showed its offensive expertise Sept 22, as they outshot Corinth 12 to 3 and secured a 3-0 victory. Kelly Donohue scored twice to lead Bolton to the shutout. Billy Smith also scored for the Eagles. Jake Nittmann assisted on one of Donohue's goals.
