The popular local band Bread and Bones will be performing at the Walkover Listening Room in Bristol on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. Award winning Ripton-based singer-songwriter Richard Ruane joins forces with vocalist Beth Duquette and bassist Mitch Barron to bring an evening of music that promises to be well-crafted, soulful, rootsy and intelligently infectious. "Ruane is adept at the fine art of storytelling put to song, whether its about the down-and-out, leaving ones homeland, or a dark encounter in a Dublin park. His originals speak to different shades of love, joy, mystery and real life, according to Terry Lickona, producer of PBS-TVs Austin City Limits program. The Walkover is in the historic old bank building on Main Street. With it's wonderful acoustics it's gaining attention as one of the best listing rooms in Addison County. For information call 453-3188. Admission is $10.
