SOUTH BURLINGTON - A Bristol police officer allegedly left Chantel Storti handcuffed to a wall outside of a South Burlington prison for nearly 30 minutes last week. The incident stems from an interdepartment squabble over where the woman was to be housed.
According to news reports, Storti was underdressed for the winter weather when she was left outside the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility.
Prison guards called the Vermont State Police in response to the incident. Troopers arrived on the scene to investigate the bizarre happening.
The incident and the Bristol Police Department are now the subject of a criminal investigation by the state police.
