WARRENSBURG Business managers, entrepreneurs and professionals in the Glens Falls metropolitan region are invited to talk to area high school students about their careers and opportunities in their respective fields in a local Career Day event. Warrensburg Central High School will be holding its annual Career Day Nov. 19, and the event organizers are seeking volunteers to attend and participate and talk about their professions. The event will be hosting about 1,000 high school students from over 15 area schools. It is one of the largest and best-supported events of its kind in the region. Presenters routinely talk about their jobs, the skills and education needed to achieve success in particular fields, organizer Terri Palermo said. Were looking to expand, and were recruiting people to help out, she said. The hours of the Career Day are set for 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Those interested in setting up a display or discussing careers at the event are encouraged to contact Terri Palermo at 623-2861, extension 228 or Marie Lewis at ext. 211.
