The following local students were among the 548 students awarded a degree at St. Lawrence University’s Commencement ceremony, held May 19 on campus in Canton:
Jesse W. Clark, of Ticonderoga, was awarded a degree in history. Clark graduated from Ticonderoga High School.
David J. Cook, of Ticonderoga, was awarded a degree in multi-language. Cook graduated from Ticonderoga High School.
SUNY Adirondack graduated 373 students in commencement ceremonies May 16 at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Graduates included:
Jon-Carl Smith of Huletts Landing, liberal arts/math & science AS degree.
Brittney Lynch of Ticonderoga, AA degree in liberal arts/humanities and social science .
Rachelle Cline of Moriah has been named to the dean’s list at Alfred State for the spring 2013 semester.
Students from both the Alfred campus and the School of Applied Technology campus in Wellsville are selected for the dean’s list if they maintain a 3.50 grade-point average out of a possible 4.0.
Zachary Pratt, son of Steven and Karen Pratt of Ticonderoga, graduated from the University of Iowa School of Law with his Juris Doctor degree on May 17.
While at the University of Iowa, he was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society and served as co-president of the Sports Law Society.
Zach interned with the Intellectual Properties Firm of Lambert and Associates in Boston during the summer of 2011, and with New Hampshire Legal Aid in Manchester, N.H., during the summer of 2012.
He will be employed by the Intellectual Property Firm of Shumaker and Seiffert of St. Paul, Minn., in August.
Pratt is a 2006 graduate of Ticonderoga High School and a 2010 graduate of St Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt.
Returning from his year of studies in the country of Hungary, Jared Bolstridge a graduate of North Country Community College, will serve for the summer at Cornerstone Alliance Church in Ticonderoga. He graduated from Word of Life Hungary, an international school, with a one year Biblical studies diploma.
Among some of his responsibilities will be leading the Sunday night church youth program, assisting and learning from the pastor, doing work projects, coordination of summer programs and starting a new college and career group.
