Care Net, Addison County's crisis pregnancy center, will hold an event introducing its new director on Monday, April 20, at the Middlebury Inn.
Care Net board members urge friends and supporters to come to an informal meet and greet mixer from 5-8 p.m. on that Monday. There will be no formal program, just the opportunity to talk with the new Director Lori Huessy, to meet up with old acquaintances, and maybe to make some new friends as well.
To spice things up a bit, there will be a Championship Dessert Contest. If you have a dynamite dessert recipe, whip it together and bring it along. There will be prizes for the winning desserts, judged by a resident expert in dessert tasting-Pastor Nathan Dick.
By way of introduction, Lori Huessy comes to the Addison County Care Net Center from a similar organization in Rutland where she has been the Client Services Director for over three years now. Prior to that, she worked for the Rutland Center as a volunteer for more than 10 years.
Lori possesses soft-spoken charm and great poise. She simply radiates trust and compassion. People appear naturally drawn to her and desire to engage her in conversation and to open up their lives to her. She's simply the proverbial "perfect fit" for the job.
Please consider joining Lori and her board members April 20 and get to know a great lady. And don't forget the care Net Championship Dessert Contest. Dessert contests are literally a rich heritage from rural America, and there will be prizes for the winners.
