LAKE GEORGE - The new owner/producer of the Lake George Dinner Theatre will be talking about his enterprise at an upcoming event sponsored by the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Terry Rabine, a standout in the local theatrical scene is scheduled as guest speaker at the quarterly Chamber Chat Dinner on Tuesday, April 27 at The Holiday Inn Resort on Canada Street in Lake George. The evening will begin at about 5:30 with cocktails followed by dinner which includes a presentation by Rabine, who is likely to offer observations about what he has learned in the past two years going from actor/director to business owner.
He will give the audience a glimpse of theatre operations and offer a synopsis of this summer's production of Our Son's Wedding.
Rabine began his relationship with the Lake George Dinner Theatre in 1970 - fresh out of high school - when he performed in The Fanstasticks production that summer.
Thirty-eight years later, Rabine purchased the theatre company from longtime owner Vicky Eastwood who retired after decades leading the enterprise.
Also slated for the evening is an announcement and description of the Chamber's 2010 programs and their focus for the coming year.
