ESSEX JUNCTION The 27th annual Essex Fall Craft & Fine Art Show, an award-winning craft & fine art show, returns to the Champlain Valley Exposition on Oct. 26, 27 and 28. Its a great opportunity to get a jump on your holiday shopping, said local organizer Sally Washburn. She and Kathy Rose started the show 27 years ago and it has grown into one of the top craft and fine art shows in New England. The show will be overflowing with quality creations, Washburn said. Its also a great place to meet many of the artisans and purchase original artwork from them directly. The show is open Friday, October 26 from 12 to 7, Saturday, October 27 from 9 to 6 and Sunday, October 28 from 10 to 5. Returning this year will be Tim Janis, one of Americas most accomplished and beloved composers, will return for a live appearance at the show. The show features hundreds of exhibitors showing traditional, contemporary and country crafts, fine art, folk art, gourmet specialties and demonstrations. Selections include hand-blown and stained glass, fine scents and herbal soaps, forged iron, garden accents, original oils and watercolors, candles, pottery, music, leather and sheepskin, calligraphy, note cards, furniture, jewelry, baskets, florals, and gourmet specialties such as dips, sauces, vinegars, and sweet treats. The Essex Fall Craft and Fine Art Show is again holding a food drive to benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf a drop-off station for donations of non-perishable food products will be located at the entrance. A raffle of exhibitor-donated crafts will be held at the show to benefit the Lions Club. Admission is $7 and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.
