TICONDEROGA World Day of Prayer will be celebrated by the Ticonderoga area Church Women United at 10 a.m. on March 7 at the home of Cathie Burdick, 129 The Portage. A brief business meeting will open the event. Following the meeting will be a program of readings focusing on Gods wisdom through the story of Job. Iris Civilier of Schroon Lake will share her thoughts on wisdom with the group. Readers will be Mary Lou Greenough, Dorcey Crammond, Lois Gunning, call to worship; Cathie Burdick, Nancy Law, Marjorie Costello, Toni OBryan, Nancy Reale for the study section. Least coin and offering donations will be collected by Reale, treasurer. Following the study, refreshments brought by Costello and OBryan will be enjoyed. All area women are invited and men are welcome as well. Through prayer and offerings, they reach out to all women around the world. The local group also supports the Ticonderoga Meal Site each month. Their funds buy necessities not supplied by the county. Collections of toiletries are also made at each meeting for the safe house in Ticonderoga.
