PLATTSBURGH - Due to concerns about discolored city water, the City of Plattsburgh Department of Public Works collected additional distribution system samples last week.
The results indicate the water is adequately disinfected and suitable for consumption.
If city residents observe discolored water, they are asked to use discretion when using their water. City-wide flushing will begin on Monday, Sept. 27, and will continue for about a week with the intention of improving the appearance of the water.
In the meantime, residents observing discolored water may contact the Department of Public Works at 563-1120.
