The Clinton County Board of Elections has reported the initial results of the 2011 election races in Clinton County.
According to Board of Elections, 100 percent of districts had reported their results as of 10:55 p.m. The results are as follows:
In the race for State Supreme Court Justice, John A. Lahtinen is ahead with 8,678 votes. He is currently trailed by Robert J. Chauvin with 7,938 votes; Ann C. Crowell with 8,183 votes; and John M. Silvestri with 4,768 votes.
Unopposed Clinton County Clerk John H. Zurlo had 10,060 votes; unopposed Clinton County Coroner David F. Donah had 10,586 votes.
In the unopposed race for Area 1 Clinton County Legislator, Incumbent Harry J. McManus had 1,142 votes.
In the race for Area 2 Clinton County Legislator, Jonathan C. Beach had 1,096 votes and Shirley M. Durnin had 886 votes.
In the race for Area 3 Clinton County Legislator, Sam Dyer had 797 votes and E. Tom Sears had 741 votes.
In the race for Area 4 Clinton County Legislator, Sara E. Rowden had 1,254 votes.
In the race for Area 5 Clinton County Legislator, Peter F. Keenan had 736 votes and Sherman J. Hamel had 571 votes.
In the race for Area 6 Clinton County Legislator, unopposed Incumbent Robert W. Butler had 1,465 votes.
In the unopposed race for Area 7 Clinton County Legislator, Incumbent James R. Langley Jr. had 966 votes.
In the race for Area 8 Clinton County Legislator, Mark P. Dame had 546 votes; Sally Sears-Mack trailed closely with 426 votes; and James P. Carlin followed with 300 votes.
In the unopposed race for Area 9 Clinton County Legislator, John W. Gallagher had 335 votes.
In the unopposed race for Area 10 Clinton County Legislator, Robert W. Heins had 515 votes.
In the town of Altona, in the race for Town Supervisor: Incumbent Larry A. Ross had 292 votes and challenger Gregory M. Spinner had 276 votes. Town Councilman: Herbert O. Therrian had 389 votes; Ronnie P. Labarge had 341 votes; and Leslie A. Labarge had 309 votes. Unopposed: Highway Superintendent Frederick T. Therrian had 504 votes and Town Clerk Carole T. Relation had 473 votes.
In the town of Ausable, in the race for Town Councilperson, James A. King and Darcy D. Pray led with 396 and 348 votes, respectively, trailed by Jude E. Perkett Jr. with 299 votes. In the race for Highway Superintendent, Timothy E. Booth had 358 votes and Paul H. Ford had 250 votes. In the race for Town Justice, Elizabeth D. Smith had 303 votes, while Jeffrey P. Kelley had 297 votes. Unopposed Candidates: Town Supervisor — Sandy M. Senecal had 439 votes; Town Clerk/Tax Collector — Bonnie L. Hopkins had 492 votes.
In the town of Beekmantown, in the race for Town Councilperson: Sharron L. Garden led with 802 votes; Terry F. Sears had 648 votes; and Sydney Sue Garrant had 568 votes. Town Assessor: Gerald V. Luck had 753 votes and Harold E. Relation had 710 votes.
In the town of Black Brook, only unopposed elections were held. The results for Town Supervisor were Ricky L. Nolan with 146 votes; Town Clerk Margaret Hoey with 214 votes; Tax Collector Elizabeth F. Bombard with 250 votes; Highway Superintendent Robert G. Haywood with 251 votes; and Town Councilman (2) Jon P. Douglass and Howard L. Aubin with 224 votes each.
In the town of Champlain, in the race for Town Councilman, Stephen J. Southwick had 527 votes; Richard E. Favreau had 508 votes; Clifford M. Demers had 345 votes; and Samuel M. Blain had 276 votes. John A. Favreau Sr. and John J. Labonte had 723 and 671 votes, respectively, for two Town Justice positions.
In the town of Chazy, in the unopposed races for Town Councilman: Christopher W. Latremore and Jerry J. Deno have 526 and 552 votes, respectively. Unopposed Highway Superintendent candidate Tim Lamica had 545 votes.
In the town of Clinton, in the race for Town Councilman, Jane E. Campbell-Nichols had 111 votes; Daniel W. McComb had 77 votes; Lawrence G. Lagree had 71 votes; and Brenda L. Perreault had 61 votes. Town Justice: Bonnie S. Laclair had 121 votes and Carol Stumpf had 43 votes. Unopposed: Town Supervisor Daniel L. Laclair had 136 votes; Town Clerk Deborah A. McComb had 111 votes; and Town Tax Collector Cindy M. Helm had 154 votes.
In the town of Dannemora, the race for Town Councilman was as follows: Kenneth A. Brassard Jr. with 296 votes; William H. Chade with 278 votes; Darlene D. Waldron with 150 votes; and Michael W. McCorry with 163 votes.
In the town of Ellenburg, in the race for Town Supervisor, David F. Leonard had 309 votes and Richard A. F. Pearson Sr. had 275 votes. Town Clerk: Thelma L. Labombard had 459 votes and Amy L. Patnode had 108 votes. Town Councilman: Gerald J. Peets had 310 votes; Richard F. Trombley Jr. had 292 votes; Robert J. Poitras had 260 votes; and Jeremy A. Brunton had 228 votes. Town Tax Collector: Nathan J. Labombard had 344 votes and Jason L. Dezan had 218 votes. Unopposed: Town Justice Kenneth J. Prevo had 491 votes; Highway Superintendent Bradley J. Wright had 513 votes; Town Assessor (2) Lawrence E. Wolff had 441 votes and Gerald G. Nichols had 436 votes.
In the town of Mooers, in the race for Town Supervisor, Cory S. Ross had 459 votes and Justin A. Sample had 413 votes. Town Justice: Jeff L. Menard had 677 votes and Joshua P. Willette had 176 votes. Town Councilman (2): Steve J. Barcomb had 617 votes; Alfred W. LaDue had 424 votes; Earl D. Robinson had 414 votes; and Michael J. Willette had 203 votes.
In the town of Peru, Incumbents Brandy L. McDonald and Kregg M. Bruno appear to have been reelected with 777 and 740 votes, respectively, trailed by Geoffrey M. Spear with 604 votes.
In the town of Plattsburgh, in the race for Town Supervisor, unopposed Incumbent Bernard C. Bassett had 1,752 votes; unopposed Incumbent Town Clerk Rickey J. Collins had 1,790 votes; and unopposed Highway Superintendent candidate James W. Woods had 2,038 votes. Town Justice: James D. Joyce had 1,170 votes; Christina T. Bezrutczyk had 1,041 votes. Town Councilman: Thomas E. Wood Jr. had 1,594 votes; Martin D. Mannix Jr. had 1,346 votes; Thomas L. Metz had 1,057 votes. Town Councilman (Unexpired Term): Gerald A. Renadette had 1,266 votes and Michael J. Verville had 889 votes.
In the town of Saranac, in the race for Town Supervisor, Ronald W. Kent appears to have beaten Jenny Lou Monty 653 to 494. Town Justice: Karen M. Waldron-Munson had 858 votes over Scott A. Thurber with 293 votes. Town Councilperson (2): Philip E. Rice had 589 votes; Jodi L. Currier had 580 votes; Gerald W. Delaney Sr. had 570 votes; and Randy J. Lamora had 486 votes. Highway Superintendent: Leo P. Vann had 656 votes and James W. Facteau had 526 votes. Unopposed: Town Clerk Mary Lou Bell had 961 votes and Town Tax Collector Mark W. White had 1,026 votes.
In the town of Schuyler Falls, the race for Town Councilman is as follows: George H. Seymour with 480 votes; Barry T. White with 435 votes; Todd A. Rabideau with 373 votes; and W. Bill Todd with 352 votes. Town Clerk: Donna A. Hamel with 595 votes and Rene M. Hugus with 275 votes. Town Justice: Philip E. Van Nortwick Sr. with 413 votes and David J. Jock with 412 votes. Unopposed candidates included Town Supervisor Harold E. Ormsby with 667 votes; Highway Superintendent John J. Rock with 734 votes.
The results of Tuesday night’s election do not take into account all absentee ballots.
