RUTLAND - BROC-Community Action in Southwestern Vermont is looking for elders who have accessibility barriers and would like help with them.
Through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act taxpayer-financed stimulus funding, BROC has someone available in Rutland and Bennington counties to build small scale handicap ramps and stairs for access to the home and install bathroom grab bars.
To qualify for these services, you must be meet income eligibility guidelines.
For example, a single person can make up to $21,660 per year; a two person home can make up to $29,140 per year. There is an intake process that takes just a few minutes.
