LAKE GEORGE - In the May 14 issue of the Adirondack Journal, incorrect information was published concerning the lake George Central School's 2011-12 budget which is up for a vote Tuesday May 17. The school board's final budget calls for spending $20.5 million, a 2.63 percent increase over the 2010-11 year, and the tax lvevy is estimated to increase by 3.98 percent. The spending plan eliminates one elementary teaching position left vacant after a retirement. Two teacher assistants will also be cut. The vote on the Lake George budget will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.Tuesday May 17 in the high school gymnasium.
