INDIAN LAKE Ed and Terry Wyant of North River presented a photo of a tree with a sunset in the background to the Country Christmas Tour to be raffled of as a Fundraiser during the Logging Demonstration which is a part of the Sesquicentennial celebrations. The Logging Demonstration will take place on July 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the field across from the DEC building on Big Brook Road in Indian Lake. The photo is framed in an artistically crafted Birch Bark frame and measures 11 by 14 inches, matted 16 by 20 inches and framed 23 by 27 inches. Raffle tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce, various businesses, and from Country Christmas Tour Committee members. The picture is on display at Pines Country Store for viewing by the public. Raffle tickets are $1 or six for $5. Mr. Wyant described the photo as follows, This majestic old tree grew in a field off Chamberlain Road in Indian Lake. It was lost during a heavy winter windstorm. Im grateful I was able to get this shot of a colorful sunset behind this beautiful tree before nature took it down. The proceeds of this raffle will be used to support the Country Christmas Tour which will be held on November 28 and 29. This will be the eleventh year for the tour in Indian Lake.
