Mark Koch MS, LMFT, will be facilitating a Men Actively Learning Empathy NonViolent Communication course at the Springfield Family Center with an informational meeting and demonstration on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Conflict always has been and always will be with us because we are unique and different from each other.
So, how do you respond to conflict in your life?
Often, people in a power position try to impose their beliefs/judgments on others by saying: "you should do your homework!" or "you should get a job" or "you should do what you are told."
These attempts to control others never resolve conflict. Try this instead:
• Speak honestly and without judgment
• Listen with your heart
• Learn to share compassion, connection and choice
