"All of the MVAC teams did a great job," said Crown Point Coach Laura Uhly. "In addition to hosting a fun competition, the teams had a Miracle Minute, raising as much money as they could in one minute for the American Heart Association. Thank you to everyone who attended the competition and for your generous donations. We raised $254.34 during the Miracle Minute."
Crown Point followed up the MVACevent by taking second place at the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Competition Feb. 12 at Saranac Central School.
"Within one weekend, the team performed well enough to beat every team in the North Country except one," Uhly said. "Northeastern Clinton Central School took away the first place trophy. After the competition, the girls traveled to the Saranac Lake Winter Festival to check out the ice castle and do some team bonding. It was a fantastic day.
"To end the season, the team had its' annual pool party at Moriah Central School," she said. "Congratulations to the girls on a wonderful year."
