A Crown Point man has been charged with a pair of felonies following his arrest Feb. 1.
Jody D. Harrington, age 35, of Crown Point was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation first degree, a felony. He was also ticketed for failure to keep right.
State police in Lewis responded to Fisk Road in Moriah for a report of a motor vehicle accident at 1:30 a.m.
Harrington was driving a 2001 Dodge Intrepid southbound on Fisk Road, when he lost control of the vehicle, and exited the east shoulder of the roadway, police said. Harrington’s vehicle struck a fence and then a tree before coming to rest.
Harrington was uninjured, and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Troopers discovered Harrington had a suspended New York driver’s license for a previous DWI.
Harrington refused to take a test to determine his blood alcohol content.
Harrington was arraigned in the Town of Moriah Court and remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 bond.
A Plattsburgh man was arrested on an outstanding warrant in Schroon Lake on Jan. 23, according to New York State Police.
Aaron T. Booker-Garrison, 22, was stopped for a traffic violation at 3:08 p.m. in the town of Schroon.
He was wanted by the Suffolk County Police Department on an outstanding warrant for third-degree grand larceny, a felony, police said.
Booker-Garrison was transported to Suffolk County law-enforcement officials.
