WARRENSBURG On a recent afternoon, in the lobby of Vieles Automotive, two men read books, waiting patiently for their cars to be repaired. Meanwhile, Tim Snyder, the enterprises office manager, was on the phone behind the counter, taking directions from someone who needed their car towed. Vieles automotive, owned by Randy and Stephanie Viele, is a full-service vehicle repair center in Warrensburg. We do everything from tires and transmissions to overhauls, Snyder said. And a lot of AAA service calls for people whove broken down. Vieles clients include people like Charlie Paul from Glens Falls one of the two men in the waiting room who was recently stranded in Wevertown with a flat tire. I broke down with my two little girls, Paul said as he was waiting for Viele technicians to complete their work. And this guy came down to rescue us, he said, gesturing to Snyder. He towed us here on a Sunday afternoon, when the shop was closed, and fixed my tire. Paul said he was now a loyal customer. I came back today to get new tires and new brakes, he said. Another client echoed the praise. Its a very nice place, and quick, said Bob Brune, who was reading nearby in the waiting room. Repair shops are all about people, replied Paul. Everybodys got a car or needs a ride, and people maybe come in here not in the best of moods, but this guy takes great care of you, and keeps you calm. Snyder explained the reasoning behind his approach. I try to make peoples experience here as relaxing as it can be,he said. My goal is that they leave here smiling. Vieles Automotive, 623-5588, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and theyre on call 24 hours per day.
