If U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-New York) believes in a vast right-wing conspiracy afoot in the land, then Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas, a resident of Middlebury, seems to see a left-wing agenda in government, at least where the Vermont Democrat Party leadership is involved. In a recent fund-raising letter sent to loyal GOP members across the Green Mountain State, Douglas accused state Democrats of following a left-wing agenda under Montpliers golden dome. "I can't tell you how many people all across our state come up to me and ask: What are they doing there? What are they doing? They're not focusing on what's really important to the future of our state, according to Douglas. In the fund-raising letter, the governor wags a finger at Vermonts Democrat leadership and explains the consequences of its supposed far-left agenda. ...(The Democrats agenda is) not in line with the needs of working families (in Vermont), the governor said.
