ELIZABETHTOWN-Dr. Lynne Macco has joined the medical staff of Elizabethtown Community Hospital. Dr. Macco brings experience in gynecology and women's reproductive health, along with specialized training in medical acupuncture.
Dr. Macco will provide healthcare to women by providing routine gynecological exams, contraceptive advice, hormonal therapy and treatment for other gynecological issues. Her part-time schedule will initially allow her to see patients at Elizabethtown Community Hospital each Monday.
She will work closely with Dr. Dane Larsen, who has offered an OBGYN clinic at the hospital for a number of years. Larsen will continue to meet with his patients at ECH; and will often work in conjunction with Dr. Macco. "Dr. Larsen and I will confer on a regular basis, as I expect to refer my patients to him from time to time for prenatal care and surgery."
"This hospital is located some distance from many medical specialists," commented Dr. Rob DeMuro, medical director at Elizabethtown Community Hospital. "ECH has had a long history of bringing specialty physicians to our community; making care as convenient as possible. The addition of Dr. Macco continues that important tradition."
Dr. Macco hails from Long Island. She attended medical school and completed her residency training at Stony Brook University. She has worked in private practice on Long Island and in Manhattan, most recently with Beth Israel Medical Center's Continuum Center for Health and Healing.
The hospital is currently accepting new patients for Dr. Macco. Call 873-6377 to make an appointment.
