TICONDEROGA — Craig E. Granger, 24, of Putnam Station was arrested Sunday, June 29 on Vineyard Road in Ticonderoga. Granger was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated over .18 percent, a previous conviction of designated offense within 10 years results in a Class E felony. Granger was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana-a violation.
Granger was processed and released to a sober third party on uniform traffic tickets and is set to appear in Ticonderoga Town Court at a later date.
TICONDEROGA — Christopher J. Lambert, 36 of Ticonderoga was arrested June 29 and charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th degree a Class E felony. The charges are related to an overnight theft from Walmart on Wicker Street in Ticonderoga. Lambert is alleged to have left the store with a computer and television valued over $1,000. The merchandise was recovered and Lambert was processed and released with an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
TICONDEROGA — The Ticonderoga Police Department and the New York State Division of Parole conducted a joint investigation July 1. Robert Chenier, a 33 year old resident, was arrested for Sex Offender Failure to Report Change Address a Class E/Felony.
At approximately 3 p.m. July 1, Chenier was located and arrested on a Class E Felony-Sex Offender Failure to Report Change Address. Mr. Chenier was released from prison June 13. The prison sentence was from a 2012 assult with a knife which occured in Ticonderoga. Chenier failed to make any changes to his address.
Chenier will be arraigned in Ticonderoga Town Court at a later date. He was lodged in Essex County Jail for violation of terms of Parole.
This case was handled by Patrolman Heather Genier and Patrolman Kevin Kilcullen from the Ticonderoga Police Department and assisted with the arrest by New York State Division of Parole, Senior Parole Officer Robert Fall and Parole Officer John McQuinn.
PORT HENRY — On July 25 State Police responded to a single car rollover on Whitney Street.
The investigation revealed a 2013 Subaru Forrester operated by Nancy Durfee, 66 of Moriah, was traveling east on Whitney Street when the vehicle left the roadway on the south shoulder, striking a tree stump. The car then became airborne, overturning several times before coming to rest on its roof.
Durfee was transported by Moriah Ambulance to Moses-Ludington Hospital for facial injuries.
Following Durfee’s release, she was arrested and charged with driving while ability imparied by drugs and ticketed for moving from lane unsafely.
State Police state that further charges may be pending as a result of a blood test. Durfee is set to appear in Moriah Town court Aug. 4.
