DASH for lower blood pressure! What is DASH? (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension). Everyone knows to limit salt and avoid processed salty foods to control your blood pressure. Nearly 1/3 of the people with high blood pressure, don't know it! Eating right is one way to keep high blood pressure in check. Besides limiting fat and sodium, eating more fruits and vegetables and getting more fiver, and low fat dairy foods is key.
Avoiding the salt shaker isn't enough. Other ways to lower sodium:
Always take prescribed blood pressure medication as directed by your doctor, even if its normal and you're feeling well.
