SARANAC LAKE - On Saturday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m., Lionel Arlan will give a slide presentation at Saranac Village at Will Rogers on the Evolution of the Adirondacks that will explain a billion years of geologic evolution leading to the formation of the Adirondack Mountains. Major geologic events will be explored including how the earth works, leading to the final major impact of the glaciers on our region.
Arlan is a retired electrical engineer who returned to his hometown of Saranac Lake. He is a regular lecturer at The Wild Center.
