SARANAC LAKE Just in time for Halloween, a group of young actors from across the region presents the play Unwrapped, a mad-cap murder mystery by Charlie Lovett. The play is suitable for all ages and is more spoofy than spooky. Its 1930s Hollywood, as movie producer David O. Dimwit (played by Dylan Van Cott) organizes a group of has-been actors, directors and a wacky staff to travel to the country of Vansyltrania to film his latest thriller, aptly named Thriller. The movie features: a mummy, the wolfman and Frankenstein's monster-the trifecta of horror. Not long after their arrival in Vansyltrania, several of the actors turn up dead, but fear not, Police Inspector Idiot (Sean Orman) is on the job. The demise of the films lead, Lacy Donahue (Hannah Huber) is just one of many exciting moments in the show. Originally made up of local homeschoolers, the group has expanded to include school kids too. Other cast members include: Sasha Van Cott, Ivy Huber, Colleen Mulvey, Sarah Woulfe, Nathan Gardner, Luke Eckert, Claire Bickford, Naomi Brant, Jeremy and Ethan Barge, Esther and Hannah Seacord, Taylor Chein, Sarah Phelps and Shannon, Matthew and Brian Largent. The play is co-directed by Gloria Woulfe. Performance dates for Unwrapped are Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. All performances are at the Methodist Church in Saranac Lake. A two dollar donation is suggested. For more information contact Dylan Van Cott at (518)-891-2628 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
