CROWN POINT - Hammond Library in Crown Point will have an open house on Thursday, Nov. 19, noon to 8 p.m.
Keeghan Carpenter chose to paint the interior of the library building as his Eagle Scout Project. All are welcome to share the new look with the community. Light refreshments will be served.
There will also be a used book sale. The library staff have been weeding the collection and there are many used and some new books for sale as well as used VHS tapes.
The library has also announced it has four new public access computers available. They all have a high speed server and the library is equipped with WIFI. The WIFI is available 24/7 even when the library is closed. In addition, there is a color printer/copier and fax machine available for a small fee.
