PORT HENRY - High Peaks Hospice & Palliative Care will hold a special memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, to honor the memory of those they have served and who died in the past six months. It will be held at the Port Henry Knights of Columbus. Each person is remembered by name and loved ones are invited to light a candle in their memory.
Hospice is designed to give supportive care to people in the final phase of a terminal illness and focus on comfort and quality of life, rather than cure. Hospice services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurances; however HPH&PC serves all, regardless of their ability to pay.
