TICONDEROGA - Inter-Lakes Health is searching fro a new chief executive officer.
Haughney, who was also chief financial officer at the health-care facility, resigned effective Oct. 1.
"Kevin Haughney made a decision to resign and I wish him well," said Sandra Bolton, chairwoman of the Inter-Lakes Health board of directors.
Inter-Lakes Health Chief Information Officer Lisa Busby has been appointed acting CEO.
"She has been with us for 11 years and has agreed to serve in this capacity," Bolton said. "The board and I have every confidence in her ability to step in and serve in this capacity."
Bolton said a search for a new CEO has started, but there is no time frame for hiring a replacement.
" We have begun to search for a new administrator, but we have set no timeline on this process," she said.
The chief financial officer's duties will be taken up by Inter-Lakes financial controller, she said, until the board decides how to handle that opening.
Haughney, a Putnam resident, had been chief financial officer at the health-care complex since 2005. He had been CEO since Roger Masse left in 2008.
Haughney has more than 25 years of experience in the health-care industry. He worked for hospitals in Orange, Rockland and Sullivan counties, as well as in the New York metropolitan area, serving in both CFO and CEO posts.
Inter-Lakes Health is the parent corporation of Moses-Ludington Hospital and Heritage Commons nursing home.
