INDIAN LAKE - Research is clear that the more involved parents are with their child's education, the higher the chances of success their child will have in school.
Recently, Indian Lake Central School hosted a K-12 parent teacher conference day. While the elementary teachers met one on one with the parents of the students in their class, the middle and high school conducted student led conferences.
Students prepared folders for each subject presenting a piece of work they were especially proud of, a piece of work they believe they could have done better on, and were asked to complete a goal in each class for the remainder of the school year together with their parents.
Although students led the conference, teachers were around answering questions and input as needed. This year's conference day was a huge success. This is due to the continued dedication of the students and their parents.
