NORTH CREEK - After a solid effort in the post-season, the Jaguars ended their winning season with a loss in the second round of section play.
The 7-2 loss to Willsboro, however, was not the end that Johnsburg was hoping for.
"It's troubling to end the season this way because we didn't play well," Johnsburg assistant coach Mark Richards said. "We had a good season, but today, they were the better team. That's the way it goes and they beat us."
Head coach Russell Moro was pleased with the season and eager to face more challenges.
"Highly dynamic, highly physical teams are the ones that we want to face," he said. "We took nothing for granted, but we know we could have played better."
Moro acknowledged several players including Dustin Weller, Kevin Conner and Dylan Wolfe for their notable post-season moments. Conner received Division III MVP honors and was joined with all-stars Sean O'Neill, Weller, Alec McKee and Taylor Ordway.
