TICONDEROGA Joseph H. Husereau, 90, of Ticonderoga, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 at his residence. Born in Canada, August 9, 1917, he was the son of the late Oscar and Florida (Doust) Husereau. Mr. Husereau was a resident of Ticonderoga for most of his life, and was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticondeorga. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the International Paper Company of Ticonderoga for 34 years. He was a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks # 1494 of Ticonderoga. He enjoyed playing cards with friends. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Pearl B. (O'Dell) Husereau on October 2, 1989. Survivors include one son, Terry J. Husereau of Ticonderoga; one brother, Xavier Husereau of Lake Placid; three sisters, Mary Musgrove of Lake Placid, Blanche Fogg of New Jersey, and Marguerite of Rochester; and one granddaughter, Shannon Marie Husereau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends called Tuesday, October 9th, from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A Funeral Service followed on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga, officiated. The Rite of Committal will take place at the family plot of the Mt. Hope Cemetery of Ticonderoga at a later date.
